Located at 39 Mary Terrace, the facility is one of the oldest, largest, and most distinctive properties in Murray Bridge, formerly the “Ridley’s Feed Mill”, sitting along the City’s Western riverfront boundary adjacent Sturt Reserve, and stands approximately 45m in height.

The foremer mill originally opened on September 30, 1919 but was gutted by fire in 1920, was then rebuilt and operated continuously until being decommissioned in 2019. Originally a flour mill, the site was later used to produce bagged poultry, dairy, horse, and lifestyle animal feeds, plus pellet meals, concentrates and pre-mix ingredients for the poultry and pig industry.

The four-storey brick building on the corner of Mary and East Terraces is recognised as a local heritage place, for its important role in the economic development of Murray Bridge and the District and its connection with the railway precinct which served it. The Mill is linked by rail to the Wharf and Railway Precinct, and features Murray Bridge’s first electrical plant, an old coal fired boiler which later converted to natural gas, two stone cottages, 10 large grain silos, various warehousing and loading bays, annex, driveway, and weigh station across Jaensch Road.
